With telephone we are not quite so lucky. The government tells us that we have a greater chance of winning the Lotto than getting proper telephone service. We are abandoned to the hands of the Telecommunications Mafia! Our reception is terrible, so be persistent. Andre does not have an answering machine activated, so you will not empty your calling card trying. (With the SA mafia we pay pay R2.50 for every attempted call!!!)
